☄ 010; [video;forward-dated to christmas morning]

It's been quiet. Suspiciously so, even. Well, I say 'quiet', but of course it's not quiet. Quite lovely today, isn't it? Well either way, I do hope everyone liked the presents--assuming they arrived on time.

Also, I have a question.

[His Abra floated onscreen, an egg in his arms.]

Did someone lose an egg?

[The Doctor gave the Pokegear a puzzled expression--looking carefully, one might see the mistletoe caught in his hair that he of course didn't seem to notice.]

[Action for anyone in the Violet Pokemon Center; have at him, but you'll get a lot of wtf in return.]

So how's your Christmas going, then?

It's much quieter than the last one I [...] celebrated.

Same here, funny enough. Mine are usually a bit more chaotic.

Although I'm under the impression that Christmas isn't 'meant' to be calm.

[identity profile] usedreturn.livejournal.com 2010-12-24 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Bit calmer than mine, I'm sure. This is a nice change.

Oh, don't tell me you're going to complain about this. It's brilliant, Christmas in a new and foreign land. Don't you think?

[voice]

[identity profile] conscionably.livejournal.com 2010-12-24 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I wasn't going to complain. [But he's not going to agree that it's 'brilliant'.]

Stop looking so crabby, then. Smile for once, it's Christmas.

[Have a long pause.]

I don't understand how you can see my expression.

[identity profile] usedreturn.livejournal.com 2010-12-24 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course I can't, not even I'm that good. But anyone can tell you just sound crabby. You're one of those crabby types, aren't you?

It has been pointed out that my "people" skills aren't great.

I hear mine aren't quite perfect, but at least I have the decency to smile every now and then.

I have little experience with human etiquette. It has nothing to do with 'decency'.

It just takes a bit of practice, that's all.

[identity profile] usedreturn.livejournal.com 2010-12-24 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Humans are simple enough to figure out. Well, in concept. Bit more complicated past the surface.

[identity profile] conscionably.livejournal.com 2010-12-24 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm perfectly familiar with that. They have an ...endless ability to surprise.

[identity profile] usedreturn.livejournal.com 2010-12-24 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't they just, though? It's brilliant, absolutely brilliant. They're quite the fascinating species.

[identity profile] usedreturn.livejournal.com 2010-12-24 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Something like that.
