[The video is in the hands of Adric as usual, floating a few feet off the ground. The Doctor is quite disheveled, not that anyone can really see that where his head's under a pillow.]

Ralll... [That slightly whining voice comes from Donna the Ralts, sitting on the pile of blankets and pillows that is currently the Doctor. She tilts her head, apparently wondering why Adric is filming--]

[--and then there would be a sudden movement that ends with both Pokemon and trainer falling off the bed and out of sight with a thud.]

Ral-?!

[There was mostly silence for a minute or two, during which Donna pulls herself back up onto the bed with some effort; then a Doctor in apparent disarray pops up in full suit and bowtie, dusting himself off.]

Right, sorry about that. Took a bit of a nap, it seems--adventures to be had, worlds to be saved, things needing blowing up--what've I missed?

How long were you out?

...I have no idea.

I've heard cases recently that people are falling into week long sleeps. No warning, they suddenly pass out.

[That sounded quite familiar to him. At least, now it did. He didn't exactly like the idea of getting stuck in another dream.]

[He looks around, mildly confused.]

I think so. That is the most likely option right now.

....Doctor? Are you all right?

Yes, for a given value of the phrase. 'Confused' would be the better term.

Exactly how long was it you hadn't heard from me?

Not since...the Yule festival. Though, that might be because I left Violet for Goldenrod not too long after that.

What happened?

Several of my friends had...whatever the coma is. [Then, some concern fills his expression] How are you feeling?

I'm thinking. I do that quite a lot, in fact. Rather often. I make a point of thinking every day.

It's a useful skill. Thinking, I mean. [Pauses, then adds: ] Arthur should do it more often.

Since time clearly works differently here, I doubt I was out for as long as I was seemingly away from Johto. Any idea how long I've been asleep?

I would assume you were asleep in Johto for at least a week, same as I was.

Time does work very differently. I returned to my own world for several years, yet I only spent seven days asleep here.

It was roughly a year for me, give or take a bit.
