So. The universe.

Big place. [He smiled, though it almost looked like more of a smirk.] Huge place, really--even I haven't seen all of it. I might never see all of it, I doubt anyone can see all the universe.

Especially not now that I've really thought about it. Ever do that, just sit there and think about things? I do, all the time. Only with less 'sit there' and more 'run around being brilliant'. But that's not the point, this is the point. We're all from different worlds, all different parallel worlds with their own...their own everything, really. It's like someone photocopied the universe and stuck it up all over the place.

But what does that mean? Where do all of them cross, that's what I'm stuck on. What makes Johto special, what makes it the one point where so many endless universes--possibly all of everything that has ever existed or will ever exist--overlaps?

That is something that doesn't make sense. So I'm going to poke it with a stick until it does.

[He went to shut off the video, but his Abra tugged on the fabric of his jacket to stop him. There was a point to this call, remember?]

Ah, right. Nearly forgot, thank you for that, Adric.

Has anyone heard of a planet called 'Alternia'?

But it's brilliant, don't you think? All this space and all these worlds with so many different people in them?

...You know, I kind of liked the name. Alternia. Sounds kind of catchy. Well, sounds like 'alternate' which just makes me think whoever named that planet was having a laugh about all these universes.

It seems rather... untidy to me. [And possibly threatening which he never takes well to.[ Can't deny that it is interesting though. The time differences are frustrating.

I never said it was a bad name, just that it sounds like it's from an American pulp fiction book. I'm not one to complain about women in steel brassieres.

Frustrating? I think they're fascinating.

I have to put up with people who think it's 2010 and I'm seventy years behind them and woefully behind on the technology.

[identity profile] usedreturn.livejournal.com 2011-06-08 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. Well. I don't actually know what year it is here. That particular fact tends to vary for me.

[personal profile] somanytosofew 2011-06-08 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
...I see. [He really doesn't see.]

I don't know what year it is here, but I know last thing I remember it was 1940 and these video things were impossible.

[identity profile] usedreturn.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 10:58 am (UTC)(link)
1940? Oh, 1940 was brilliant. I've been there a few times.

[England is just going to stare for a moment here.]

I wouldn't call the wholesale bombing of London and other major cities to help facilitate an invasion and the spread of the Nazi German empire 'brilliant'.

[It's maybe a sore spot with him.]
