So. The universe.

Big place. [He smiled, though it almost looked like more of a smirk.] Huge place, really--even I haven't seen all of it. I might never see all of it, I doubt anyone can see all the universe.

Especially not now that I've really thought about it. Ever do that, just sit there and think about things? I do, all the time. Only with less 'sit there' and more 'run around being brilliant'. But that's not the point, this is the point. We're all from different worlds, all different parallel worlds with their own...their own everything, really. It's like someone photocopied the universe and stuck it up all over the place.

But what does that mean? Where do all of them cross, that's what I'm stuck on. What makes Johto special, what makes it the one point where so many endless universes--possibly all of everything that has ever existed or will ever exist--overlaps?

That is something that doesn't make sense. So I'm going to poke it with a stick until it does.

Has anyone heard of a planet called 'Alternia'?

...I've never heard of it - Alternia, I mean. It must be from another universe - or I just haven't heard of it.
But... you've got a pretty good way of looking at all these universes, y'know. After all, I've been thinking about everything for most of my stay here, but I haven't thought of it from that angle. [Maybe... Maybe...] Maybe if we discover the why, we'll discover the how!

Well, I hadn't heard of it which in itself is a very telling thing. I'm told it's meant to be something almost like an alternate Earth.

That's possible. I've usually found that poking the 'why' until it gets quite cross with me usually leads to the 'how' of the whole thing.

And what sort of alternative Earth is it? Is it full of monsters? [Besides the normal monsters Raz is used to. Or Pokemon.] Or... don't you have more information yet?

And anyway, the why on its own might be fun to find out. Maybe it's a conspiracy? Or maybe something out there just wants to toy with is? There's so many different things it could be. And that's what makes this one of my favorite adventures yet!

I am not actually all that sure. I've heard from someone who knows of it, but I don't know exactly who or what lives there.

Oh, I like you. Of course this is an adventure, a brilliant, wonderful, fantastic adventure. All kinds of fun little things running about.
